Project overview
With a view across the Birmingham canal network, the Granville Lofts development comprises of 112 apartments of varying sizes, many benefitting from car parking, rare in such a prime area. This development is in walking distance of the iconic Cube and Mailbox.
Work undertaken
Smoke ventilation - NSP was employed to provide VentGuard natural AOV shaft and stair ventilation systems with smoke damper and grille sets. The controls system was complete with EN12101-8 zone control panels c/w 72hour backup to ensure maximum safety, L5 smoke detection systems and repeater panels for early indication in reception.
Car park ventilation - A number of ultra-sleek and quiet 355mm impulse jet fans were combined with a complex CO monitoring system.
Main extract fans with specific silencers were also used to ensure noise levels were kept to a minimum.
The project was completed with strict adherence to the SCA guidelines and EN12101 suite of documents.
